I purchased this 63 Avanti in 1991 from the original owner here in North Carolina. At the time it showed 135000 miles and he said this was correct. Over the next 2 years I did a complete frame off restoration. The car has never been in a accident and the frame and hog troughs are rock solid. During the restoration no bolt went unturned.

Complete engine rebuild .030 over piston ,timing gear, stainless steel valves. Carb rebuilt by Daytona Parts Co. Transmission had small parts kit and synchronizers. All fuel and brake lines. Brakes completely done.

Mechanically she runs strong and very dependable. Body had professional paint job done in correct PPG clearcoat Avanti turquoise. Paint still looks excellent but with a few minor chips and scratches from time. All chrome and emblems in excellent condition. Interior, seats were last nos turquoise set Studebaker International had. Has salt and pepper carpet from Phantom Auto. All gauges work and faces refinished. Has new set of Bridgestone tires.

The car has some modifications but nothing that shows or can’t be changed in short amount of time .The front brakes are the late model Steel Tech Solutions. It has Chrysler 6 inch wheels. 4 speed Hurst shifter with stock looking handle and correct ball. AM/FM CD under dash that comes out easily. Rear speakers are in trunk access panel and I have original. Clock is quarts conversion.

Car was 1st place at Studebaker International meet in 1995 and 2004.
