Studebaker Avanti, 1963 R2 automatic, white with turquoise interior, purchased new in February 1964 from independent auto dealer in Seattle who had acquired it from Studebaker Dealer in Minot, North Dakota. We paid $3,300 plus trade-in 1955 Chev BelAir. When moving from Seattle, we took Avanti to Bainbridge Island WA, Bremerton WA, San Diego CA, and Nanaimo BC Canada, returning to Seattle in 1990. Maintained Avanti as daily driver throughout this time. Was in original operating condition except brakes had failed when we sold it in March 2001 for $6,500 to Richard Shamblin of Buckley, WA... Odin
