This is an original first generation Avanti, designed in Palm Springs by the legendary designer Raymond Loewy, the Avanti was a car way ahead of it's time.
This car has been in California since new and has been in indoor storage since the early 1980's. It needs some cleaning up and reviving, but is very complete and un-altered. Original interior in very nice shape, factory A/C, automatic trans, crank windows, factory 289 V8 engine, black California plates. Paint is poor but the body is great. "Hog Troughs" are very solid. A phenomenal basis for a restoration. NADA guide book puts value between the low teens and low 30's depending on condition. This one needs a little love but is well worth the effort. A rare find and a true part of Palm Springs and Automotive history.
