With exception on the black paint, as far as I can tell this Avanti is all original. The frame and Hog Trough's are in excellent condition. We just finished doing a major mechanical rebuild from the radiator to the rear end. Because of the overall great condition of this car, we felt like a complete frame off restoration was just not necessary. The previous owners certainly had to have taken really good care of it.
In the near future we will be changing the rear gearing to a much more interstate friendly final drive ratio, we will be stripping the body and completely repainting it, then we will complete the detailing of the interior and the engine compartment. We may even do a "no-no" and tint the side and rear windows! Our goal is to not only have a car that is a great daily driver, but one that looks plenty good enough to show.
