1984 Avanti Touring Coupe RQB-3866 - April 2011

Rare Low-Mileage 1984 Avanti Touring Coupe RQB3866. Only 50 Avanti Touring Coupes were built, available in four colors with coordinated interiors. This is one of the 15 silver exterior/silver & black interior registered models. No exterior chrome anywhere--all blackout trim. As with all original Grand Touring Coupes, this car comes with high performance tires on special GT cast aluminum wheels. Body is fiberglass. Interior is all hand-crafted leather with black and silver heated Recaro C seats. Carpet is grey with black carpet mats. Black brushed alum dash & console, signed black leather steering wheel. Air Conditioning, cruise control, power windows, power brakes, tilt wheel steering, rear window defrost, power mirrors for both sides, analog red gauges, Blaupunkt cassette AM/FM radio w/power antenna & 4 speaker system, electric sun roof with inside slider for moon viewing, electric trunk release, disc brakes on the front, windshield washer, standard GM 305 HO (high output) engine. All original except 5-speed manual transmission w/Hearst shifter added by Jon & Mike Myer in2003 when they tuned the engine and replaced all seals following 15 years in storage (sale includes the rebuilt original automatic transmission for matching numbers). The car would require detailing and repainting to be a show car. As is, a nice “20 footer” that is a lightly driven driver that you could drive anywhere. Car is garaged.
