Studebaker Dealerships - Joe Steed, Wichita Falls, TX 1950
![]() Steed Motor Company in building at 1200 Lamar (I think?), still with Studebaker, and prior to Rambler. Probably around 1955 to 1958. ![]() For a short time, Steed Motor Company also sold Studebaker trucks. These gentlemen are (L to R) Mr. Williams and Mr. Huffhines (city officials), Bruce Steed and Thad Steed. ![]() Training session for Studebaker trucks at Steed Motor Company. Bruce Steed is second from left, and Joe Steed is the one with his legs crossed. ![]() Photo of Joe Steed Motors from late 40's or early 50's. Joe Steed, older brother of Bruce and Thad, came to Wichita Falls from North Carolina in 1945 to own a Studebaker franchise, then sold it to the younger Steed brothers and moved to Tulsa. Bruce and Thad let the Studebaker franchise go in 1958 to concentrate on Rambler sales. I believe this is 1109 Indiana. Danny Steed Wichita Falls, Texas History August 14, 2010 |
