Welcome to the E-M-F Documentation and Advertisements Page

So you want to see some Documentation and advertisements for E-M-F Automobiles? Well, you have found the right page.

Below you will find a section for each specific year that the E-M-F was built that will contain documentation or advertisements specific to that year. There is "General" section that will contain things that are not specific to any one year, or if I can't figure out which year it should go into.

If you have some documentation you would like to submit, please scan it at the highest photo resolution possible to archive a file size of 200 KB or less (that is the file size limit for this web server). For one or two files, email them to me. For many files, sent them to me on diskette or Zip disk, including your return address and I will be happy to return your disk.

Thanks, and enjoy the data!!!

This is a blank stock certificate I recently acquired on eBay. I am not sure this is really from the E-M-F Corporation and would appreciate it if any one could share any knowledge they have about this item. Perhaps I have bought the rights to sell E-M-F Automobiles in Chicago? Funny thing is that when I received the certificate, it came with a little blurb about the E-M-F Company which I think I wrote and put on the Wikipedia site :)

This is an article from the July 30th, 1909 edition of "The Automobile" describing the new E-M-F 30. This is the earliest article I have seen and shows pictures (or artist drawing) of an E-M-F a bit different than that produced. Thanks to Walt Grove for providing scans of the pages. Clicking on the ICON to the left will open the first page. For pages two and three, click the links below:

NOTE: The image may display smaller in your browser, but you should be able to tell it to display full size. Try moving your mouse to the lower right hand area of the screen and look for a pop-up image to allow the resize.

This is an add from page 18 (The Auto Section) of the "San Francisco Chronicle", Sunday, August 18, 1908. This add declared the introduction of the Studebaker E-M-F. Clicking on the picture will take you to another page with the full size add on it. This add is the full length of a news paper page and I had to scan it in two pieces and the pieces are joined on the next page. The two images are quite large and will probably take time to load.

This is a large double sided add detailing the E-M-F 30 and from the car depicted, I would say it is from 1910. Take a look at the Studebaker E-M-F 30 logo. I have never seen it used like this anywhere else and it is kind of neat!

This is an add from page 42 of the "San Francisco Chronicle", Sunday, March 24, 1912. This add is for the E-M-F "30" and Flanders "20" models for 1912. The add is quite large (2/3 of a newspaper page). Clicking on the picture will take you to a page that has the entire add, but since I had to reduce the size so much, it will be unreadable. So I have added links to each of the 3 parts of this add. If you are interested, you can look at each individual piece and you should be able to read the text.
