Bob's Studebaker Resource Website O'Chapp Studebaker Hawk Prototype
This car was talked about in a TW article some years back--and that article did include a photo of the car when new or nearly new. Studebaker commissioned it from O'Chapps Body Works in South Bend as a pre-production (of course!) GT Hawk prototype. The roof is from a '58-'60 T-Bird, with a center section taken out (TBird roof too wide for Hawk body). While it looks goofy, it does have Stude historical significance. Too bad it's in such rough shape (at least apparently). The basic car is a '54 Stude although I remember that this "job" was done in '60 or '61.
