81 ECM PROM Does anybody have or know were I can get a Prom Chip for my 81. It has a Engine Control Module #1224810 and the correct PROM number is 1224831 or 1223854. The GM dealer says it is no longer available. The 81 uses a first generation ECM and most Power Chips will not work in it, (unless sombody knows one that will?) The Chip I have tried is a chip from an 83 but it gives an error code of 51(PROM check sum error).?? Carl RQB 3253 Carl Tuveson --------------------------- I got a prom from Hypertech.
