Dana 27
The 45 denotes the type of TT and 27 is the Dana model, not as strong as the
Dana 44.  The 44 was used in all 289's as far as I know and many 259's but 27
was used in sixes and some 259's.  The 23 was also used in sixes and I've
heard of a few in 259's.  th aug2004

If  you do change from a 44 to a 27, you need to remember that
driveshaft length is different between the two.
