Trunk Latch mechanism -

Try going to the junkyard and picking up the power hatch mechanism from a
Dodge Omni or Plymouth Horizon. The are almost a perfect bolt in. Then all
you have to do is wire it to the same spot under the amrrest where yiu
remove the cable and  handle. Use a momentary push button switch to activate
it by wiring into a switched power source so that it only works with the key
on..
