There are four 3/8" plugs that go into the oil gallaries that feed the lifters. There are two at the front behind the cam gear. A third is visible at the back of the block next to the cam 1 1/2" welch plug on the passenger side. The fourth one is INSIDE the block about four inches in next to the cam welch plug on the driver side. There is a 1 1/4" hole for a welch plug that you have to go inside about four inches to install this one. No, you do not need to loctite them in, nor do you have to put a lot of torque on them to tighten. They should be very snug but if you put them in real tight, they can be a bear to get out in the future. Ted Harbit Oct2001
