I've used this in the past when the fogging has been due to moisture:

Remove the light bulb socket and give a *light* squirt of NAPA 12/34
aerosol spray.  There are also LPS spray products that I think are
similar to the NAPA.  These are water displacing sprays.  Perhaps
practice on a gauge first for which you have a replacement handy.....
