 And low and behold, a 51 Champ showed up whom I followed on the 
 parade route.  Along with me and the 51 there were about 15 other 
 cars, Chevy's, a couple rods etc.  Anyways when I finally got to 
the announcer's booth, the guy couldn't pronounce Avanti.  He stumbled 
 around for few seconds, then finally said, Oh by the way you are our 
 best of show in the automobile class-- and that's a really neat 
car!  

The other thing that was cool, is that evening an older gentleman 
walked up to me and said "you know, I may have made your car, it's a 
Studebaker Avanti right?"  Here this fellow used to work at Molded 
Products in Astabula Ohio, and he was there when they were producing 
the Avanti bodies.  He was geniunly interested in the integrity of 
the body of a 38 year old car.
