Up for sale is my 1963 Studebaker Avanti R1 ( R1157 ) Please do not make an offer until I add more pictures.......Thank You. I don't know if ebay will let me add the new photos once offers have been placed. This car was fully restored (except for some interior details, and the front vent window frames) I bought the car in 2003 from a woman who had the car restored for a total cost of around 40 thousand. She had the car tied up for almost ten years. I have had the car for about 6 or 7 years and only drive it to maintain it. (about 10 miles a month) I only have this one picture right now, but will add more tomorrow. I took a picture of my other computer screen for this shot. The computer crashed and I can't get the pictures off it. I will take some new photos and post them, or I can email the pictures to you. I have about 20 polaroid pictures of the restoration, which I will add tonight. The car was completely disassembled and restored. The body came off the frame, the engine was removed and rebuilt, every part under the body...frame, rear, brakes, springs, steering components, EVERYTHING...was media blasted primed and painted. The body is beautiful and looks better in person than it could in photos. Most cars for sale look better in pictures. The paint in the engine compartment is just like the body paint with the same polished finish. The car has new hub caps and coker tires. There is a brand new battery rebuilt alternator and new regulator. The interior is not together and would take me about two days to complete. This includes a new reproduction fiberglass headliner. I will sell the car as is for less, or finish the interior for the buy it now price. I will add information as I think of it later, but you can call me at 201 315 5457 and I will describe the car to you in great detail. (nothing to hide) Ask for Louie. You can buy a 10 or 15 thousand dollar car and put 30 or 40k into it, or you can save the time and have one for the summer, for alot less. This car was done about 10 years ago and looks like itwas just done, so don't worry about the quality of the work. When picking up the car, if you don't think it is, what I say it is, you do not have to buy it. I would think, if you don't like this car, you don't really want one of these.
