This Avanti is a great candidate for restoration. As you can see in the photos, the car experienced front end damage due a minor crash, from the previous owner. A new fiberglass front end was installed, positioning looks correct, but was never finished. I asked the previous owner why the car sits so high. He said the shop replaced the springs with the wrong ones. They must have used big-block Chevy truck springs! It does not have power steering and the brakes do not work. The frame does not appear to be bent. The original white hood (not shown) is in good shape and was not damaged. The torque boxes are excellent and the doors close nicely. All of the window glass is good. The previous owner told me that the car ran when parked over 20 years ago. He had rebuilt the engine back in the 70's. The block is still holding coolant. I have not tried to turn the engine over. There is an extra pressurized carburator, with a tag #3507S on it. A Hurst shifter has replaced the original. The car is mostly complete. The front bumper (a straight one) and brackets are included. I do have a clear title. I do not have the headlight lenses. Check out the 15'' knock-off wire wheels! I would assume that the adapters bolt on to the hubs. One of the wheels has damage on the rim, although the chrome on all of them is pretty good. The spare is also a wire wheel. I even have the lead hammer. A set of stock wheels (no hubcaps) go with the car. Location of the car is about an hour east of St. Paul, Minnesota. I will work with you to pick-up or deliver. I purchased this car a few years ago, with thoughts to maybe restore, or swap the 4-speed out of it for another Avanti I own. After checking out all of the work involved to do the swap, I decided I'll leave the other car an automatic.. Thanks for looking and Good Luck!
