Some information: Titled as a 64, made Jan 63. Paint is original and is a 20 footer. Chips in the front, gas stain on the rear. Motor rebuilt in Ohio bored 0.060, new HP cam. Motor tag by Studebaker says it is a replacement engine no.1558833. Head castings are 1557681 (std. 63 -64 Studebaker) which are 8.0 to 1 compression ratio with thick head gaskets, 8.4 to 1 with thin head gaskets. Intake manifold casting no. is 1557144. Block casting no. is 554641 289 cubic in. Has correct Avanti oil pan with breather, intake, air cleaner, water manifold, pulleys ect. Car came from Ohio in 2000. Previous owner bought new frame rails and spliced them in at about the back of the front seats back. Removed hog troughs and used square tubing tied into body mounts and pop rivets to fiberglass. See pictures. Previous owner also did the below: installed new upper and lower A arm bushings. Added chrome wheels Z Racing SSC Performance, Michelin XH4 205/75R15’s on front 235/75R15’s on rear (rear tires rubbed when turning). Newer Edelbrock AFB carb, new steel exhaust, New shocks front and rear New rear springs, heavy duty. Rear cylinders have been rebuilt. Other things: Air conditioner was working. Removed Freon when removing the body. New headlight chrome rings and rubber. Reproduction plastic covers. Avanti II front bumper. Replated rear bumper. No vertical rear extensions. No carpet. Front seat reupholstered in close color vinyl. We have had for 4-5 years. Car runs, shifts. Probably has some other nitpicky stuff from being garaged for the last 5 years and being 50 years old.
