1963 Studebaker Avanti R1. This is one of 9 Avantis that I have owned and I am thinning down the herd and restoring other makes of antique cars. This Avanti has been in California for at least 25 years and I purchased it in 2007. It's a "Driver", although with a little detailing it could be show quality. The odometer is only 5 digits, so the listed mileage is not correct. I have the original Studebaker "Build Sheet" framed for this Avanti (not a copy, but the original). This is some of what has been done: New Engine Chrome - valve covers, valley and air cleaner. New Breather Caps and the correct STP decals. New Body Chrome - bezels, light rings, badges, hood "Gunsight", bumpers and rear bumper uprights. New front license plate holder for CA. New Exhaust/new manifolds and complete "Quiet Tone" system - new exhaust tips need to be welded to pipes. New Engine Parts - Water pump, hoses & clamps, fuel pump, fan belts, rebuilt alternator, new engine stainless shields & covers, New Battery. I have just replaced the original surge tank and installed a new water inlet system from Studebaker Int'l(the surge tank will be included in the sell; Avanti surge tanks ALWAYS have problems). New Tires (only driven off the trailer with no road miles yet) and Wheel Covers, New Brakes (new booster, master cylinder and front calipers), New Trunk Carpet Kit (needs to be installed). Too much to list (e-mail me and I will send a complete list). This Avanti is located in Warner Springs, 35 miles South/West of Temecula in San Diego County. Please call if you have any questions. You DO NOT have to be a MySpace member to view these pics. I may consider a trade for a 1948 Thames Panel or a 1956 Ford F100 Panel Truck.
