The car we had was a 1963 Avanti #3422 and we had original production orders from Studebaker and the registration car for car and both listed Raymond as the owner. On the production order it said it was made for Mr. Loewy. Then it also had a tag dash with his name on it and a tag on each fender same. It also had a Caddy "V" on nose and was painted what I considered weird. It was R-2 automatic. We got it from a man in Alhambra CA and it had been sitting for a number of years in his garage. The fan shroud was missing and the supercharger was bad. It needed "A" arm bushings and power steering hoses. We went thru the car and repaired everything. Resealed the engine and fixed both power windows. That was interesting as both (window) motors were missing and all the cheat notes were written on inside the door in French and not any good for us. Since I don't read French. We got it running really well and put it up for bids. A Mr. McCormick in Palm Springs CA who has a car dealership there. He did paint it, but it was really sloppy and he took it to several auctions and it didn't meet his reserve. After a period of time a man named Dennis that has a store called Off the Wall in Santa Monica CA had it and then he sold it and I lost track of it. What you read in the AOAI magazine is right. I still have copies of the production order and registration card with his name in it along with pictures of the car. Jon (Myer) - Feb 2011
