I have a bunch of it sitting in the garage as it is now with dings, cracks, and messed up
 paint from a previous winter storage under tarps but  they were taken more for truth in
 advertising purposes when I was first looking to sell it for my cousins.  I've since 
decided to offer them the money after (hopefully) selling my jimmy. Anyway if I go dig 
around I think I can come up with a photo from back in the day when it was my uncles daily
 driver that would be much more flattering or less embarrassing... 6 of one and all of that.

So am I correct for your purposes the frame tag is the number you use as the identifying #?
  If so I guess it might be time to pull her out from under the covers (3 layers of plastic 
and tarps and 2 car covers layers #2 and 5) and fire it up. I can snap a couple pics of the 
#s and send them on to you.
 I don't have any factory build sheets but am confidant its an original car though he may have
 put a new red and black upholstery kit in it at some point. New tires of course.  Have the
 stuff in boxes for a rebuild as well. Original owners name is Ray Jennings and the car was
 purchased in San Jose, Ca.

According to the frame plate yes...  Never been for sale on ebay
though.  Maybe they were using the door post number? I can see how
that is possible.
So was it a red with black interior and all original equipment?  What
were they asking for it?  I'm always curious what they go for but
don't bother checking very often


My uncle may have been a (SDC) member years ago but I doubt he was during the last 20 years or more. 
 The Avanti sat in his garage in Campbell Ca for a good fifteen years before moving up here and
 other than having the tranny rebuilt by a stude guy in Portland about 2003 or so didn't leave 
the garage since then other than a few test runs for diagnostic purposes.  It will return to the
 public view eventually though.  At least for a little while before the actual resto begins.
