1963 Avanti R1 turquoise with turquoise interior, 289 cu in V8, 4 barrel carburetor, automatic, power windows. Purchased used in 1965 and driven daily until 1975 when it was in a minor fender bender. The front bumper was bent and the fiberglass nose cracked. No frame damage. The nose was replaced at that time and new front and rear bumper assemblies were purchased with the intent to repaint the car and replace the old chrome with the new. Unfortunately with work, kids, and the dog it never happened. I regret to say that the car has been stored (indoors) ever since. You can see in the pictures where the nose was replaced. The work was performed at a Corvette repair shop. The car sat in the garage for many years and now it sits in a barn, on concrete, with good ventilation. The car has been covered. This car needs to be restored. We have all of the original parts and including the original set of bumpers and a new set of bumpers. The radiator is out of the car and is recored. There are five original Avanti steel rims and 4 original hub caps. The car has the chrome covers for the electrical wiring harness in the engine compartment. The image of the engine compartment show the master cylinder and power booster missing, but we have them. The interior is decent, I still need to clean the rest of the interior, I cleaned up the door (see photo). The front seat have cracks in the seat area. The rear seats are good. All interior parts are original. The car has all of the badges (though not shown on the car). Parts were removed with the idea of repainting in '75, but we have them. The engine ran when the car went into storage. My father takes good car of his engines. It will still need a lot of work, however. The car is stored in Fremont, MI. I am in Chicago, but my father still lives close to the storage barn. I have restored another '63 Avanti so I am familiar with the whole car. Feel free to ask questions. Car will have to be picked up at the storage location by you, or shipping can be arranged. The car is obviously not drivable in its current state. I suggest a flatbed, as the tires are original from the 70's.
