This very rare '64 Studebaker Avanti is one of only 703 built. It is not a restoration and you
 would be the second true owner if you purchased this gem of a collectible. Avanti is the Italian
 word for FORWARD, and this factory Paxton supercharged 240HP R2 should be used as the standard 
for what restorers should aim for if they had to restore one. This is a street Avanti that was 
cherished by the original owner and has never seen bad weather. It performs today like the day 
it was sold. It is an unmolested car. Even the original TUBE RADIO and clock works.

Avanti boasted a fiberglass body with a radical razor edged front fender design which turns
 heads everywhere it shows up. It is so very rare that many owners have it trailer driven to
 car shows. Its interior is unreal with its aircraft cockpit controls and sleek console design.
 Notice from the photos that this car was seldom used for passengers. The owner enjoyed driving 
this car so much that he collected a large amount of Studebaker materials that are available
 with the car. This model is an R2 with the best Studebaker Super Charged 289 V-8.

Though Studebaker is no longer producing cars, the Avanti is still producing smiles and 
nods of respect for one of America’s historic and iconic automobile manufacturers. Owning 
this car will continue the legend that is Studebaker.
