Vehicle Description

	

     I am listing this car for my neighbor. He doesn't have a computer and is often traveling. I have the car in my position with a clear title. He has authorized me to sell sell his car. So, here it goes.    

This 1985 Avanti is a very rare car. These factory built fiberglass cars was produced by the Avanti Motor Corporation. Studebaker began building these cool cars in the early 60's. The production was very limited. The style was unique and the modifications through out the years were minor. They had to meet all the current US Motor Vehicle standards for safety yet they continued to maintain the original classic style.

     The new exterior paint is a very pretty burgundy color. The car is fairly straight and the paint is still shinny. The wheels were painted a nice charcoal color and have newer tires with very little wear. The interior has brown leather seats, a center console and an automatic floor shifter. The bucket seats look like a Recaro style bucket seat. They are very comfortable and are in pretty good shape. The carpet, headliner and door panels are good too.

     The Avanti runs and drives good. It still has the original V-8 motor with only 43K original miles. It is a factory Chevrolet 5.0 liter engine that really move the car well. This car is a lot of fun to drive, sounds great and it gets looks everywhere it goes.

     The only bad things I can say about the car is the windshield has a small stone chip in it. The stereo is missing, the power glass sun roof has been sealed closed and the air doesn't blow very cold. The power window acts up once in a while too. Other than that, it is what you would expect for a 20 year old used car. So please don't expert perfection. It is not in show car condition (Although I've seen cars in shows that weren't this nice). Anyway, I recommend you inspect the car prior to bidding. It is located in Daytona Beach Florida. I want to sell this car so I've set a very reasonable low reserve.
