I am very pleased to offer this very rare second generation Avanti Sedan. Many of you know that the Altman’s and other investors created the Avanti II which started production in 1965 and continued into the early eighties. Then Steven Blake purchased the company only to fall into bankruptcy by 1986. Michael Kelly then purchased the assets. In April of 1987 Kelly moved production to Youngstown, Ohio and soon took on John J Cafaro as a major investor. By September of 1988 Cafaro owned the company. The first four door Avanti was produced in August 1989. The car that we are offering was built in April 1990. I am not sure just how many sedans were produced but certainly not many as production was at a stand still by May of 1990, soon after Avanti was gone. Avanti # 1001065 is what we are offering. This spectacular car is presented in a near flawless pearl white. The exterior finish is breathtaking and I could only find 2 paint chips or flaws. There has never been any accident damage. The glass is exceptional. All of the lights and lenses are crystal clear with no cracked or broken pieces. The interior is everything you would expect for a very low mileage, garaged kept car. The leather is supple with beautiful color and the wood trim is gorgeous. Everything works as it should. The power train is GM, so service will be easy. The ride and comfort is incredible for this kind of car. I have put a very conservative reserve on this rare and beautiful Avanti, so bid to own.
