1967 Supercharged Avanti II

This is a rare opportunity to own a beautiful piece of history!

As described below, this vehicle is a one owner original condition Avanti purchased directly from the owner of Avanti in 1967. The supercharger was custom added by the manufacturer for testing prior to the release of the 1968 model in the following year. This car is in excellent condition and runs great. It has been garage kept and pampered its entire life.
This is a great car in its own right--the history behind it make is that much more valuable.

Statement from owner:

I purchased this "one-of-a-kind" Avanti directly from Nate Altman, President of Avanti Motor Company. The company raced the car on the Salt Flats for testing and then made it available for sale. I traded my 1963 Avanti on this 1967 and drove it while attending High School and College. The car has been in storage for the past 30 years. The car is original except for change of color from the original white to candy apple red, and the common wheels were replaced with stainless steel wire wheels.

We have installed power steering to ease maneuverability. The upholstery and carpets are the originals and have not been restored.

Plenty of spare parts are included with the purchase of the car, including three square yards of the original upholstery, purchased from Newman and Altman from the same batch used when the car was built. Also included with this car are new window and door seals.

This car has never been involved in a wreck.
