Vehicle Description This is a 1976 Avanti II with a small block 400 and turbohydramatic 400 engine and transmission. They are both in good shape. The engine runs well and does not smoke or leak oil. It has new chrome valve covers and breather top. The power steering hoses and pump have been replaced and the ram has had new seals installed. There are no power steering leaks. There is a little play in the steering box but not enough that you would not get accustomed to it quickly. The transmission shifts smoothly and precisely and has no leaks. The car has new exhaust from the catalytic converter and back with the correct chrome plated exhaust tips.It has the standard Dana 44 rear axle with 307 gears but no Twin traction. The air conditioning has a leak and does not cool. The fan works well. The tachometer does not work either. The body is solid and the paint is shiny as you can tell in the pictures. The preparation was not the best. IT STILL LOOKS GOOD AT 10 FEET. Both hog trough are in real solid condition as is the frame. The rear cross member that goes beneath the spare tire bulge has been replaced. It has a nice set of Magnam 500 wheels with Michelin radial tires with faIr tread remaining. They will need replacing in the future because they are starting to weather crack on the sidwalls. They still provide good traction and drive smooth. The bumpers, headlight surrounds. taillight and back up lights have all been rechromed and looks good. The only parts not rechromed are the door handles. The interior has been completely redone in a leather looking vinyl and cloth material. The headliner was replaced with new board and the foam backed cloth, There is also new carpet. There has been a Dashmat cover put on the dash because of some cracking there. All of the weather striping has been replaced except for the windshield and back glass. This car is being sold as is where is. There is no warrenty. Shipping will be the responsibilty of the buyer.
