Vehicle Description

i have never listed one of these before, so i will do my best to describe it from what i was told and what i've seen !!!!!!! due to serious healt reasons, i have been asked by a good friend to list his pride and joy 1983 avanti. i took it out for a good test drive and i found it to be a pleasure to drive. the engine was very responsive, with great power and torque, and no abnormal noises. the trans shifted on the money with no hesitations or slippage. the brakes performed well with stopping as was expected, with good pressure and again, no abnormal noises. checking under the hood(the hood mat is missing), i did not notice any leaks, or smell any antifreeze leaks. under the vehicle appears to be dry and no visible outstanding rusted areas. the dual exhaust sounds good and there was no audible leaks or looseness. all the interior instruments are working well as is the wipers, turn signals, horn, tilt, radio, heater and a/c. all the glass is intact and i did not notice any cracks or major chips in the windshield. the power windows and locks work well.
the exterior color is a deep blue with heavy metallic. the paint itself looks to be original ??.. there are typical small road related chips around the nose area. the hood has many spiders and blisters. the rest of the exterior is in good shape with some minor spidering and assorted small chips here and there. i did not see any rust problems, repainted or repaired areas. the doors, hood and trunk open and close with ease and all the seams line up evenly. the chrome bumpers have lite pitting, but i honestly think a good waxing will clean most of it up. the leather interior is a buff color(off white). i did not see any signs of major wear, splits, holes or burns. the rear seating area does not appear to have been used very often. the rugs, headliner, dash, wooden wheel, door panels, etc, etc, are in good shape for a 25 year old car. checking around the good working power moon roof, i did not see any signs of past or present water leakage staining. the leather cover over the interior moonroof cover has some sag, but it should be easy to tighten up. the vehicle was not smoked in and still has the leather smell. the tires and avanti wire wheels are in great shape(the wheels have some minor edge rust spots, but again a good chrome cleaner should do away with them. the trunk and spare tire are in great shape. some of the noted features of this class act are: v8 engine, 21000 original miles, automatic 4 speed trans, dual exhaust, pin striping, body mouldings, leather interior with high back seats, wood tilt wheel, trunk mounted cd changer, assorted avanti related books, power moon roof, metal flake paint , power windows, locks and trunk release, front disc brakes with abs, great tires with avanti wire wheels, manual front seats, cruise control, rear view mirror, full spare tire, center console, locking gas door cover, oem owners book with pouch, avanti am/fm, avanti floor mats, clean carfax, gauge package with tach, power ant, tinted side windows.. from what i was told, the vehicle spent most of its like out west(possibly arizona or nevada ???). over the years it has had new tires, brakes, tuneups, brake booster, front end busings, shocks etc, etc, king pins, rear springs and bushings, gas tank service with relining, transmission services, delring bushings, new battery and cables, rebuilt carb, assorted belts, fluid changes, etc, etc. not much more to say, hopefully my pictures will speak volumes. the title is on hand and clear of leins. i researched ebay etc for a fair market value, but could not find any as clean and well taken care of as this one. i have started the vehicle at 15000.00 with no reserve. whomever the high bidder is will be the winner(even if its 15100.00 ). the vehicle has a clear title.--vehicle is sold as is--vehicle must be paid for in full via cashiers check, money order or cash in hand within 10 days of the auctions close. as far as shipping, call around to a few shippers for the best price and tell them the vehicle is located in new jersey at zip code 08050. otherwise the vehicle can be picked up here at my home. please remember, bid with your head, not over it, your winning bid will be your contract to purchase this vehicle, I will leave appropriate feedback with this transaction. bottom line--like i said first one i've inspected. with some tlc, this avanti which is already a classic, can only go up in value. Thank you. PS: due to the recent rash of non paying "0" feedback winning bidders(who like to leave negatives), i must require anyone with less then 5 feedbacks to notify me before bidding, or i will cancel their bids--sorry !!!
