Vehicle Description Up for auction is a rare and excellent opportunity, a 1983 Avanti II A continuation of the legendary and ahead-of-its-time Studebaker Avanti, this 1983 Avanti was produced by Avanti Motorcars. Most of those looking at this vehicle will likely know all about these, but hear is a bit of background- The original classic design was produced starting in 1963 by Raymond Loewy for Studebaker, as an attempt to save the ailing Studebaker Corporation. Thankfully, we have this product as a lasting contribution from the now defunct company. The Avanti II, like its predecessor, uses a lightweight fiberglass body. Chevrolet small-blocks were used paired with automatic overdrive transmissions on these post-Studebaker Avantis. This individual vehicle is a solid, rust-free California car with perfect frame and hog-troughs. Original grey leather interior is in very good condition (see-photos). Vehicle has had recent $6000 + prismatic paint (picture is worth a thousand words in describing the shades in this prismatic paint). The work is excellent and flawless save one scratch on right door. Runs and drives excellently, reflecting its very easy usage. This vehicle is being sold by Seaboard Motor Company, an established Southern California dealership selling a wide variety of vehicles since 1978. Vehicle has been smog-checked and safety checked.
