Studebaker Dealerships - M.L. Mumma, Harrisburg, PA - C 1925

M.L. Mumma, became the primary Studebaker service gargage in the Harrisburg area when he opened this facility at 4th and Boyd Streets in downtown Harrisburg. His actual street address is listed as 1521 to 1527 4th Street.
This building was to be a service garage. He had another dealership or car lot at 3rd and Reily Streets. Attached (is) an article about when he considered opening the service garage, an article when he did open it and some pictures of the building today. They were taken 11/2/12.
It is today one of the Harrisburg Area Community College buildiings. M.L. Mumma was a Studebaker dealership at that location from 1923 until 1939. The building then was then acquired by AMP (Air Marine Products) which became Tyco Electronics Corporation. Mumma had his car lot at 3rd and Reily before he took over this building on 4th street. The building was built by Jackson Manufacturing Company. They now have a building on Cameron Street. They make wheelbarrows and other gardening hardware.
