I lived in Bowling Green, Ohio and surrounding area until 1971, so that was the part of your (dealer) page that had my attention. My first real interest in cars came at age 12 when my dad bought a new Pontiac, however I fell in love with the styling of the Studebaker and remain that way today.

My reason for contacting you was to offer an address correction for your listing of the Lorraine Sales & Service dealer in Bowling Green. The correct address was 1006 N. Main St, not 1606. In addition to Studebaker, they also sold farm machinery and were a Sunoco Oil dealer. I visited there often as a teenager and worked part-time for a while at the Sohio (later Exxon) station across the street.

Later in the mid-'60's I bought the first of my 22 Studebakers to build a race car for the drags. Because most dealerships were closed or closing, I went to D D Gross Studebaker in Moline, Ohio for parts and also bought a '64 GT Hawk there in early '68 to use as a tow car. If I remember correctly, as late as '69 he still had a new '66 sitting on the showroom floor. He said it was the last one he had and it would remain there until someone paid him the full original price. I moved to Phoenix in '71, so never knew if/ when he sold it.
